The Peters Family were my next door neighbors growing up, their yard right down the road from ours. It was so special for me to get to come onto their yard after all these years and get to see them as grown, amazing, inspiring individuals. Mrs. Peters gave me the biggest hug at the end of the session and told me how much she appreciated me and how lovely it had been to see me again. Not even to document their family, but to simply see me. I teared up. That’s what I love so much about photography. I get to connect with people on a level that we wouldn’t normally connect on in a regular job. I am so thankful. As I was leaving, she told me to make sure to not be a stranger, and that I was welcomed over anytime. I am so thankful. I also don’t know if I have ever laughed so much at a Family Session. Liam, (Judy & Rubens son), came into the session knowing exactly what poses he wanted and every time I would bring my camera into his general direction he would strike the coolest poses, haha. Oh this family had me laughing and in tears. So good for my soul. I am so thankful for photography.
