Lisa and Greg have been my best friends since Jr. High, so I was honoured when they asked me to document their first born, coming into the world. Yikes, I am so thankful, so overwhelmed and so emotional when I look back at these photos from that beautiful day in February.  I live in Calgary and my friends live in the town I grew up in which is 10 hours away. So when Lisa called me on Sunday evening and told me that she went into labour and was heading to the hospital, my only option was to drive the 10 hours through the night and I am forever grateful I did. I got to spend the morning before sweet Silas entered the world, with his amazing parents.

Greg was there, supporting and loving Lisa through every contraction, and Lisa was being a hero and thinking of her sweet babe through every ounce of pain. They truly inspire me. At 7 in the evening, Silas Andrew pierced my ears with a loud scream and changed our lives forever. I am in tears as I think about the look on my friends faces as they saw their son for the very first time. My heart is overwhelmed. My love for them has only grown through this experience. I am so thankful. So blessed. Thank you Baby Si for entering our lives – you are so loved.
