kim + mike.
Kim and Mike's wedding was truly a celebration of their unique journey together, and it's clear that they were all about creating a day that felt as authentic and joyful as their relationship. From their non-traditional approach to love—falling in love, having children, and then deciding to marry—to the thoughtful details of their day, every part of their wedding seemed to reflect their playful, loving spirit.
Having an intimate fall wedding in Banff, with the stunning mountains as a backdrop, made the day feel magical. Mike's wedding wish for snow came true as we were driving up the mountain for their portraits, which made me so giddy for him!
The ceremony and reception both took place at Bluebird, a restaurant and venue that is one of my favourites. They had a standing-room ceremony where everyone huddled close together and it was the perfect way to make it feel personal and full of warmth. Ending the evening with drinks and bowling at High Rollers was such a fun, laid-back way to wrap up the night—definitely not your typical wedding send-off, but so fitting for a couple that values creating memories in their own, unique way.
This wedding really highlights the truth that there's no one right way to celebrate love. The couple made sure their day was a reflection of who they are, and that's what made it so perfect. What a privilege to document such a personal and joyful day!
